Wednesday afternoons for University students is generally recognised as time for sports. Those don’t do other things! Like this bunch. We often work with the Ecology and Conservation society on these afternoons. Shay the chairman organised these guys to come over and plant about 300+ wild flowers in this area of grass. Volunteers do have different attitude to staff and are motivated by different things, not just the Madlow hierarchy stuff we need to do to survive.
As you can see they were a fun bunch; from left to right: Alana, Connor,Larry, Sophie, Shay and Jo. Another worth noting is that these guys who mostly zoology students had very different coloured hair from the land managers or people in the business school!
It nice working with students there fun and very interested most things. Whats funny sometimes is you forget your 20 years older and tell a joke and there a silence and a bit of tumbleweed rolls past !!
