Western Mountain Kitten Tails

I am loving the colour of this little plant. It’s got a cute common name but the scientific name Synthris missourica var stellata is a bit of mouthful. It was found by botanists in the 1800’s and is native to the mountains around the West coast of the USA. It had no particular uses by the indigenous people but was noted for the shape and colour of its flower. Its grows for us under a large Eucalyptus contrasting with the Heleborous x sterni. I don’t think they look like kitten tales at all ?
